I inquired about Jenny (I renamed her Frankie) through Pet Finder after seeing my friend’s puppy while dropping holiday gifts that afternoon in Potomac. I received a call from Mindy the next morning saying I looked like a great fit and she gave me the address for the foster family and instructions for meeting Jenny as she needed time to warm up to people. When I pulled up I could hear her barking at the door and just as Mindy instructed, I ignored her, despite her adorable angry outburst. After a suspicious greeting, we moved to the couch, where she warmed up and gave me her belly to rub. I was in love! We scheduled the home visit with John the next morning and I got a call from both of them a few hours later saying that I had been selected. I was overjoyed! I signed the contract and paid the adoption fee seamlessly and I picked her up that evening from the lovely foster family who was sad to see her go. Frankie is so sweet and settling in better than I could have imagined. Mindy and John have stayed in touch and truly care about the animals and people they help.
